HP launches PrintOS software suite for Latex and Stitch

HP has expanded its software offering with the launch of PrintOS Software Suite for HP Latex and HP Stitch.

Presented as a simplified, bundled version, the standalone software-only package gives users access to HP Learn training content and PrintOS Production Hub applications, such as job tracking, workflow automation and order management.

There is also a new sustainability tool, the HP Sustainability Amplifier Program, that supports mixed fleets and sustainability goals.

According to HP the platform provides affordable access to all premium HP PrintOS Production Hub applications, to streamline users' workflow from order to delivery. Additionally, HP said the product addresses key challenges like fragmented processes, manual tracking, and limited production visibility and will help users “digitise operations, improve efficiency, and reduce errors”. 

It comes as HP has achieved a milestone for its HP Latex R530 printer, which reached its 100th global installation, hailed as a further advancement of the company’s Large Format Print strategy.

The Tigard, Oregon branch of signage franchise Fastsigns has installed the printer into its production line-up, marking the century installation of the model since its launch in March.

Daniel Martinez, SVP and division president of HP large format printing, said the HP Latex R530 reflects the company’s “focus on removing real-world barriers for print providers”.

“Installing the 100th HP Latex R530 is a proud moment for our team and a testament to the value the HP Latex technology delivers for our customers,” said Martinez.

“By combining versatility, quality, and ease of use in one compact device, we are helping PSPs unlock new applications and operate more efficiently - without compromising on sustainability.”

Steve Brennock, owner of Fastsigns-Tigard, commented that the all-in-one compact printer had helped the business meet tight deadlines and that printing directly onto sign surfaces had improved turnaround times.

Features of the HP Latex R530 include seamless switching between substrates, vibrant colour output, smooth gradients with HP Control technology and built-in automation for recirculation and printhead cleaning.

In a further endorsement of HP PrintOS Production Hub, Fordingbridge Print celebrated its 1,000th order using the system, which the technology company said represents another milestone for the product.

Fordingbridge Print was the first customer of the HP PrintOS Production Hub and director of the Hampshire-based printer, Andrew Wilson, praised its visibility as a “gamechanger”.
